These terms and conditions apply to children’s parties and organised celebrations held at the Malta National Aquarium and La Nave, including birthday parties, Holy Communion and Holy Confirmation celebrations.
Booking & Availability
- Children’s parties are available Monday to Saturday at 09:00 and 15:00, subject to availability.
- Parties are not organised on Sundays or Public Holidays.
- Each party lasts approximately 2.5 hours.
- Submission of an enquiry does not constitute a confirmed booking. Your booking is only confirmed once availability has been confirmed by our team.
- No deposit is required. Full payment must be settled on the day of the party.
Age & Group Requirements
- Birthday party packages are available where the birthday child is 4 years of age or older.
- A minimum of 10 paying children is required for a children’s party package.
- The maximum capacity is 40 persons, comprising a maximum of 20 children and 20 adults.
- Children under 4 may attend as invited guests, such as siblings, relatives or friends. Each child under 4 must be accompanied and supervised by one paying adult.
Aquarium Visit
- The party begins with a visit to the Malta National Aquarium, which normally takes approximately 40 minutes.
- A guide is required for the organised Aquarium visit at a one-time fee of €45 per group.
- Adults wishing to accompany the children inside the Aquarium may enter at the applicable reduced party rate of €12.90 per adult.
- Following the Aquarium visit, the party continues at La Nave.
Children’s Menus
Children’s party menu prices include Aquarium entry for the participating child.
A minimum of 10 paying children is required.
Menu selections and dietary requirements should be communicated to our team in advance. Menu availability may be subject to change.
Adult Menu
The adult menu is available for a minimum of 15 persons.
Adults entering the Aquarium are charged separately from the adult catering package.
Cake
- Cakes are not currently provided as part of the party package.
- Guests are welcome to bring their own cake.
- No cake service charge applies.
Additional Activities
Fish Feeding, Craft Making, Scavenger Hunts and Magician experiences are available as optional additions to organised parties, subject to availability.
These activities do not form part of a standard Aquarium visit and cannot be booked independently as part of normal Aquarium admission.
Activities may be adapted according to the age of the children, group requirements, animal welfare considerations and operational circumstances.
Entertainment & Decorations
The Malta National Aquarium and La Nave do not provide:
- Invitations
- Table decorations
- Candles
- Party animation or entertainers
Guests may arrange their own entertainer, subject to prior agreement. PA systems are not permitted inside La Nave.
Prohibited Items
For safety, animal welfare and the comfort of other guests, the following are not permitted:
- Helium balloons
- PA systems
- Confetti
- Party poppers
- Whistles
Guests are responsible for ensuring that all members of their party and any external entertainers comply with these requirements.
Supervision
Children remain the responsibility of their accompanying parents, guardians and supervising adults throughout the celebration.
Instructions provided by Aquarium and La Nave staff must be followed at all times, particularly during activities taking place within the Aquarium.
General
Party arrangements, activities and access are subject to availability and operational requirements.
The Malta National Aquarium reserves the right to adjust the programme or activity arrangements where required for safety, animal welfare or operational reasons.
