Getting to the Aquarium

Located at Qawra Point in St. Paul’s Bay, in the north of Malta, the Malta National Aquarium is easy to reach from across the island by car, public transport or taxi.

The Aquarium is situated along the Qawra seafront, close to Buġibba and the many hotels and accommodation options found throughout the St. Paul’s Bay area. If you are staying in Qawra or Buġibba, you may even be within walking distance.

Getting Here by Car

Travelling to the Malta National Aquarium by car is straightforward from most parts of Malta. Simply enter Malta National Aquarium, Qawra into your preferred navigation app or use our Google Maps directions.

The Aquarium has internal and external parking facilities with more than 140 parking spaces. Parking is free of charge for visitors to the Malta National Aquarium.

Remember to validate your parking when visiting the Aquarium.

Getting Here by Bus

The Malta National Aquarium is well connected by Malta’s public bus network, making public transport a convenient option when travelling from Valletta, Sliema, Mellieħa, Mdina, Malta International Airport and other areas of the island.

Bus services operate throughout Qawra and Buġibba, with stops within the surrounding area of the Aquarium.

Getting Here by Taxi

Taking a taxi to the Malta National Aquarium is one of the easiest ways to reach us, particularly if you are travelling from another part of Malta or directly from your hotel.

Simply use Malta National Aquarium, Qawra as your destination.

Walking from Qawra or Buġibba

Staying in Qawra, Buġibba or elsewhere in St. Paul’s Bay? Depending on the location of your accommodation, the Malta National Aquarium can easily be reached on foot.

We are located at Qawra Point, along the seafront at Triq it-Trunċiera. Look out for the Aquarium’s distinctive starfish-shaped building as you approach.

Walking is an especially convenient option for visitors staying at hotels and holiday accommodation around Qawra and Buġibba.
