Step into a mysterious underwater setting where Malta’s ancient history and marine life come together.

Inspired by shipwrecks, archaeological discoveries and Malta’s long relationship with the sea, the Roman Times zone recreates the atmosphere of a submerged world waiting to be explored. Among the ruins and wreckage, you’ll encounter colourful marine life including damselfish, starfish, blue tangs and corals.

Look out for a replica of the anchor associated with St Paul’s Shipwreck, connecting the experience with one of Malta’s best-known historical stories. You’ll also discover a recreation of the underwater statue of Jesus Christ near St Paul’s Islands, surrounded by species inspired by those found in the area.

Another striking feature is the bow of a Trireme-style shipwreck, where tropical fish move in and around the structure. It offers a glimpse at how shipwrecks and other submerged structures can become habitats for marine life, providing shelter and helping support underwater ecosystems when responsibly managed.
